If I were to give parents one key to Raising a Successful Child, what will it be?

Well, it is READING!

Yes! You heard me well. Reading!

Parents must read and get to know what they need to do and what they need to avoid to raise a successful child.

if knowledge is power then, reading is a superpower! Without reading, a parent becomes powerless and incapable of helping his or her child to become the very best they are created to be.

You cannot succeed in anything without adequate knowledge of how to go about it. That is why successful people are successful- Reading!

An average person reads about two books per year when an average successful entrepreneur reads about 40 books a year.

If your child is not doing well in his or her study, what do you need to do?

What you need to do is not shouting at him. What you need to do is not calling him names. What you need to do is to get information on how you can help him overcome his learning challenges.

Let me tell you something most parents don’t know, most children are not happy when they are not measuring up in their performance. Every child wants to be a brilliant child and his or her teacher’s choice. However, most of them do not know how they can achieve it.

I believe it’s the responsibility of the parents to go after information that will enable them to empower their children for academic success.

 Reading is the Secret

I have studied quite a number of successful children and I have also helped my son overcome his learning challenges. I can tell you categorically that behind every successful child, there is a mother, a father or a teacher who knows the right things to do.

It’s so sad that many people go through needless sufferings simply because they cannot search for solutions to their problems. Some people say that if you want to hide anything from a black man, write it as a book. But I believe we need to change this.

Reading and Learning from Experts make success a lot easier for you. Before the Covenant University was established, Bishop Oyedepo said, he read well over Forty books and documentaries on Successful Universities in the World. That is what gives the University the accelerated success they experience.

Things Have Changed

Things have changed. The techniques used 10 years ago to raise a brilliant child may not work for today’s students.

There are more distractions for our children (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram etc). Parents must be informed enough to teach their children how to handle these unavoidable distractions to their advantages.

Besides, there are more potent learning and understanding strategies that make things a lot easier for the children. For instance, Today’s children don’t enjoy long school notes, they are looking for ways they can read less and achieve more. And I tell you, there is a strategy that enables them to reduce study materials by 80% and still get 100% marks!

Technology is the in thing now. There are lots of apps, free software and platforms they can leverage to gain a competitive edge. Without exposing them to the right use of technology, how will they know it?

These are the techniques and strategies I discussed in my book, THE BRAIN BOOSTER. I believe this is the beginning of success for every parent.

If your child is not doing well in learning, if your child hates to study, if your child forgets at the speed of light, if your child is highly distracted, if you feel your child is more capable than he is currently doing, there is a way out. It’s high time to go after information to help him or her.

Where Can You Find Information to Help Your Child?

We are living in the days of information. I am not the only Expert on the field. You can contact experts on the internet, you can read their books, you can use YouTube or Google. Anyhow, get information!

Don’t Just Buy a Book, Read When You Buy

It involves an investment of Time and Money. Every good thing comes with a price. Books on special areas like parenting and learning mastery can sometimes be expensive but it cannot be more expensive than the effects of ignorance in that area.

Don’t just buy books: Read them when you buy them. A study indicated that most Nigerian don’t read past the third chapter when they buy a book. There is no difference between a man who cannot read (illiterate) and a man who can read but doesn’t read (educated-illiterate).

When people don’t have the right information, they will begin to fly with myths. For instance, some parents believe that a child may go nut if he studies too much, whereas the truth is that the human being has a limitless capacity for learning.

Caveat Emptor

You need to learn from experts that have track records of success. There are many opinions out there that do not have any scientific basis. You really need to be careful.

You may wish to go through our records and experience and follow us if you so desire.
